My journey to needle felting art
Kia Ora
My name is Fery and I started my needle-felting journey in June 2024. As a child growing up in China, my parents wouldn’t be able to afford my art pursuits because they thought art wouldn't be able to make me a living. So I stopped any creative things in life to meet my parents' expectations. I always knew that I wanted to be creative, that's a big part of my identity. However, I struggled with drawing or painting and felt not good enough to be an artist, so I felt I had no choice but to give up the artist's dream.
However, life will give you interesting pivot points that rekindle a dream a girl has long held. Random chance through work I found this art form and fell in love. It's a very therapeutic process, and it works wonders once you really get the hang of it. The girl who is not able to paint or draw can now express her spiritual and imaginative world through wool.
May my art bring you warmth, peace and imaginative spark within.

This was inspired by my travelling experiences in Japan. It’s also a scene that tries to deliver a sense of a new beginning. We are all unique flowers in our own way, and you can not compare one flower to another as they are not the same.

Flower Fairy
This little fairy was inspired by one of my forest fairy visions that I had in a meditation. This Fairy is the guardian of the flowers and appreciates their beauty and presence no matter how long that will last. She also reminds us, no matter how harsh or tough life could be sometimes, enjoy the small beauty in your life, this too shall pass.

Guardian Angel
This piece is inspired by my discovery of my guardian angel which I have been mistaken for as my spirit guide for ages. His name is Andy and he doesn't appear to have a wing as an angel. All our guardian angels are specifically working for us and they are here to bring us protection and guidance when we need it in challenging situations.

Woman and Owl
Feminine wisdom is deeply connected with the spirit animal owl. She sees through the darkness but yet remains fearless and strong. Trust the inner feminine wisdom instead of what things pretend to be.

This painting depicts the archetype energy of Divine Feminine. The strength of a woman is subtle but powerful. Like the water, it can be gentle and still, yet powerful like an unstoppable undercurrent that can move mountains. Be strong and stay in your power, divine feminine.

Fallen Angel
She came from an angelic realm whose mission is helping earth and humanity raise their consciousness. However, the density and dark side of humanity seem to trap her in the water. She forgot who she was until she saw the stars point to her, that’s where home is.

When our soul chooses incarnate to on Earth, we pre-choose our experiences to learn certain lessons so our soul can evolve and ascend. Remember we all come from oneness consciousness and will all go back once this earth's journey reaches its end.

Wild Woman Within
This is my first needle-felted wool painting and it was one of my vivid visions for a long time that represents a deep wild woman's psyche. This mermaid unleashes her wildness on a mysterious full moon night. She enjoys her aloneness in the darkness with no fear.
She is wild and free.

Sanctaury Moon
This is a picture that depicts a spiritual sanctuary where we looking for spiritual guidance. When life gets overwhelming, she finds a sanctuary spot where she could talk to the moon, knowing she is protected and guided.

This is inspired by the healing concept of the inner child.
We all have that inner child within us who is intuitive, innocent and connected to all that it is. Once we heal that part of ourselves, and awaken the light within us, we are connected to the higher wisdom and consciousness.

Cat Universe
This is random piece which is out of my plan. I was trying some blending techniques and somehow this piece come to live. I love the unicorn coloured cat and the spacy planet in the sky that indicate another realm where cat’s consciousness dwell into.
